Vote 2018: Granite County Hospital District Mill Levy
PHILIPSBURG - The Granite County Hospital District (GCHD)is in precarious position. Without a renewal of the Mill Levy on the Nov. 6th ballot, the hospital may have to reduce its services or possibly close altogether, removing emergency medical care, long-term care for the elderly and more than $2 million from local economies.
Three members of the GCHD - CEO & Director of Nursing Maria Stoppler, GCHD Board Member Jim Waldbillig and GCHD Board Chairman John Barbara - sat down to give the Flint Creek Courier an exclusive look at what the Mill Levy money actually goes for and what not receiving it may do to health care and the economy of Granite County.
