Drummond men, women cage Panther opponents

SHERIDAN – A first quarter surge by Luke Holland and 20 points from Jonah Parke helped the Drummond Trojans beat the Sheridan Panthers Friday night on the road.

“Kids played good tonight,” said Trojan Head Coach Levi Parsons. “(They) started off kinda of slow in the first half, mostly just unable to score. But they really turned it around in the second half and ran away with the game.”

Sheridan led 13-12 after one period, with Holland scoring eight of his 14 points. But then the Drummond defense turned up the heat defensively, holding the Panthers to six points or less over each of the next three periods while ramping up their own scoring.

Parke’s 20 was a game high for the Trojans followed by Holland. Allen added nine in the post.

Drummond’s two teams head back home Saturday night as they host Darby.
