Correction to Road Supervisor pay article
GRANITE COUNTY - The Flint Creek Courier published and article Tuesday regarding the Granite County Commissioners setting the base pay for the County Road Supervisor. In that article's final paragraph, the Courier inadvertently stated that the current Road Supervisor, Paul Alt, would be a contract employee with Granite County.
That statement is incorrect.
While Alt's position will have many earmarks of being a contract employee, he will in fact be a regular member of the Granite County employee pool. The major difference is that he will not be placed into the county's salary step matrix and will instead have his increases decided annually by the Granite County Commissioners.
The original article has been corrected to the reflect this information and noted as to the correction.
