Sheriff responds to fatal car accident on I-90
GRANITE COUNTY – The Granite County Sheriff’s Department issued a press release Tuesday regarding a fatal car accident that occurred on I-90 Monday, April 15, just went of Drummond. The release reads as follows:
April 15, 2019 A Deputy and Highway Patrol Officer were dispatched to an On-Star report of a disabled vehicle West of Drummond on Interstate 90 possibly involving a crash. After a search of the area, the vehicle was found approximately 130 feet off of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was deceased.
Preliminary reports indicate the person may have died as a result of a medical condition prior to leaving the roadway. The Decedent was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The Granite County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol continue to investigate.
The name of the deceased will be released at a later time, pending notification of next of kin.
