John King playing the Opry ahead of Midsummer Night Jam
DRUMMOND – The Midsummer Night Jam just got an upgrade.
John King, feature artist at the first-ever concert at the Drummond Rodeo Grounds, has been scheduled to play at the Grand Ole Opry just two weeks ahead of his date in Granite County.
“This year has been such a big one,” said King in an interview Thursday night. “The new song “Try Saying Goodbye” is tearing up the charts, CMA Fest and now a Grand Ole Opry performance. Just adds to the fun that we get to make on our way out to Drummond for the Midsummer Night Jam. It’ll be one of the highlights of the summer!!”
King’s career has been on the upswing since the first of the year. He has had several songs hit over a million streams in a month, including his latest single “Try Saying Goodbye”. He was also tabbed to play the Glorious Fourth in Demorest, Georgia July 4 before heading back out on the road and toward Drummond.
Joining King at the Midsummer Night Jam will be Montana’s own Levi Blom. Blom has been well received around the Treasure State, headlining such events as the Rockin’ the Rodeo event in Dillon.
