BREAKING: Drummond cancels weekend games with Granite, Victor
DRUMMOND – The Drummond High School basketball teams were forced to cancel their games this week against Granite and Victor high schools due to an exposure to opposing players with Covid-19.
Drummond Public Schools Superintendent Christina Barbachano received notifications from the Madison County Health Department and their Superintendent that Trojan and Lady Trojan players had been exposed to an opposing player or players that had tested positive for the virus. The exposure has caused players from both Drummond teams to be immediately quarantined until their status can be determined.
Barbachano noted that any games that may be rescheduled will be determined by the athletic directors and coaches of both Drummond and the opposing schools.
The District 13 schedule ends February 13 with the playoffs starting the following week.
