December Sessions to Discuss Broadband Access and Quality in Montana

From a ConnectMT Press Release

The ConnectMT program will be conducting a second round of broadband outreach in December through a series of in-person and virtual outreach sessions. This second round of outreach will include both Community Leader Sessions and Public Townhalls that will seek feedback on the state’s draft 5-year broadband action plan.

Community Leader Sessions

For community leaders like yourself, we invite you to attend our in-person sessions taking place in Butte, Missoula, Havre, and Miles City from December 5th – 8th, 2022. If you live outside of these areas or are otherwise unable to attend in-person, we would love to schedule a virtual session with you. Please see below for details on how to register for an upcoming in-person or virtual discussion.

How to register for an IN-PERSON community leader session:

  1. Please review the attached Community Leader Sessions Flyer for information on the dates, locations, and times of each Community Leader Session.

  2. At your earliest convenience, email the Outreach Team at ConnectMT@mt.gov, indicating “In-Person Session Reservation” in the Subject Line and provide the following information in the body of the email:

    • Name

    • Organization

    • City location

    • Session date/time

  3. Please note that once this registration is received, the Outreach Team will send you an email to confirm your reservation.

How to register for a VIRTUAL community leader session:

If you are unable to attend an in-person Community Leader Session, please email the Outreach Team at ConnectMT@mt.gov at your earliest convenience, indicating “Virtual Session Reservation” in the Subject Line and sharing your name and organization in the body of the email. The Outreach Team will work with you to set up a virtual session that accommodates your availability.

Public Townhalls

We also are hosting public townhalls from 6:30-7:30pm MT in each of the 4 locations noted above. These sessions are open to all members of the public, and the attached Public Townhall Flyer includes additional information regarding dates, locations, and times for each session.

We are asking for your help in distributing the above information regarding how to participate in these sessions to your stakeholders, colleagues, neighbors, family, or friends. Thank you for all your help in helping close the digital divide in Montana. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact ConnectMT@mt.gov and one of the Outreach Team members will respond as soon as possible.

Best Regards,

Montana Broadband Access Research Team
