Drummond girls back on track with sweep at Hot Springs
HOT SPRINGS – The Lady Trojans took awhile to get going, but once they found their stride they pocketed a three-game sweep of the Savage Heat, 25-18, 25-9, 25-13. The win advances Drummond to 1-1 in district play.
The opening set took some work for the Lady Trojans to secure, but DHS Head Coach Sam Larson chalked it up to the travel.
“Our team came off the bus a little slow, but quickly settled in after the first set,” Larson said. “We had the opportunity to try a few new rotations and get some younger players in for some experience.
“Overall it was a great way to close out our opening week of conference play.”
After winning the first set, the second and third sets came much easier.
Kimber Parsons led the attack at the net with 11, getting assists from Anna-Kate Sawfer (12) and Charlee Cline (9).
Drummond gets the early part of next week to regroup before hosting Lincoln Thursday.
