Drummond scuttles Lady Pirates, advance to 8-1

DRUMMOND – The Drummond Lady Trojans easily vanquished the visiting Lady Pirates from Victor Tuesday night, sweeping them 3-0.

The victory improves the Lady Trojans to 8-1 on the year and keeping them firmly in second place in District 13C play. Victor falls to 1-8.

Kimber Parsons and Remington Cline led Drummond with eight kills each, with the former adding a pair of blocks, an ace and an assist.

Anna Kate Sawfer dished a team-best 22 assists, Brooke Hicks led in digs with eight, and Hazel Sawfer fired off four aces.

The Lady Trojans get a few days off until Saturday when they will compete in the Mineral County Tournament in Superior.
