Drummond stays unbeaten in D13C play with sweep of Lynx in Lincoln
LINCOLN – The Lady Trojans took the lessons learned in their loss to Manhattan Christian and applied them quickly, making short work of the Lady Lynx 25-9, 25-8, 25-19. The win improves Drummond to 5-0 in District 13C play, 7-1 overall.
“We came out and had really good competitive sets but fell behind in the third due to undue errors,” said DHS Head Coach Sam Larson. “We learned as a team to keep our communication high in order to keep the game at our tempo.”
Kimber Parsons was the top hitter with eight kills and an ace, Anna Kate Sawfer dishing a team-best 13 assists to go along with a pair of aces. Bailey Parke, Delaney Wagner, and Remington Cline each had a block.
Drummond will close out its opening round of district games Saturday when they host Victor in their Homecoming match at 4:30 p.m.
