Drummond sweeps Victor in road opener
VICTOR – The Trojan men and women made it a clean sweep Friday night in Victor, both earning wins from the Pirates to open their regular schedule following the tip-off tournament a week earlier.
Lady Trojans
Drummond 55, Victor 15
It was a quick start and a dominating performance for the Lady Trojans as they easily swept past Victor. Drummond used a 12-4 first quarter run to establish a lead it would never relinquish.
“We played as a team and kept our composure,” said junior Sydney Phillips. “You can tell we enjoy working hard and playing together. I am very excited for this season!”
Phillips had 10 points, but it was freshman Holly Hauptman that led everyone in the game with 19. Jessie Struna was also in double figures with 11 points.

Lizzy Perry and Macy Williams scored 16 points each to lead the Lady Trojan JV to a win over Victor. Gracie Weaver rounded out the double-figure scoring with 11.
Trojans
Drummond 52, Victor 27
The Trojans jumped out to an early lead and never took their foot of the pedal as they coasted to a 25-point victory.
Guard Caleb Parke led the scoring with 18. The rest of the scoring was very balanced as Ethan Parke and Doug Anderson chipped in seven each while Wyatt Rigby, Leyton Wagner and Alex Hauptman chipped in six apiece. Colt Parsons rounded out the scorebook with a basket.

The Trojan JV squad got off to a good start, holding the Pirates scoreless in the first period on their way to a win. Colt Parsons had 11 to lead Drummond while Cooper Bradshaw had 10.
