Drummond sweeps Victor to end season atop D13C standings
VICTOR – In a game that meant nothing in the standings, the Drummond Lady Trojans finished strong in posting a 46-13 win over Victor.
The game closes out the regular season for both clubs with Drummond at 9-1 and Victor at 1-9. The Lady Trojans earned a first-round bye for winning the district and will face the winner of the Seeley Swan-Valley Christian game Friday at 10 a.m. Victor will play Lincoln Thursday, with the winner facing Granite at Friday at 1 p.m.
Drummond opened Saturday’s game against the Lady Pirates with its signature press that did the bulk of the damage, giving the girls in blue a 17-2 lead. They extended it in each subsequent quarter, using a variety of lineups and players to get them valuable experience.
Kimber Parsons led Drummond with 10 points.
The Lady Trojan JV beat the Lady Pirates 27-8 in their season finale.
Hazel Sawfer and Casey James led the scoring for Drummond with seven apiece.

Boys Varsity
A 31-8 first half got the Trojan boys off to a fast start and they never looked back.
“Another solid victory for us tonight,” said DHS Head Coach Levi Parsons. “Our score doesn’t do justice on how well the kids ran the offense tonight. We got a lot of good shots, they just weren’t falling.”
Drummond will get Thursday off with their bye and will wait to play the winner of the Valley Christian-Victor game (Thursday @ 11:30 a.m.) at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
In Junior Varsity play, Drummond posted a 56-30 victory over the Pirates.
Michael Goettle led all scorers in the game for the Trojans with 22.
