Drummond swept by Bruins, fall into Consolation Bracket
CHURCHHILL – Gardiner proved why they were the No. 1 seed coming out of District 11C this year, sweeping the Drummond Lady Trojans 3-0 Thursday night.
The game was in the Winner’s Bracket semifinals and drops Drummond into the Consolation Bracket where they will face the winner of the White Sulphur Springs-Charlo matchup Friday at 2:30 p.m. The winner advances, the loser goes home.
Drummond managed to stay close early in each set, only to watch Gradiner pull away slowly and secure the win.
Kimber Parsons managed nine kills for the Lady Trojans, with Remington Cline logging five. Anna Kate Sawfer had 12 assists and a pair of aces, while Brooke Hicks had 11 digs.
