Granite Boys slip past Seeley on the road

SEELEY LAKE – The Prospectors used a second-quarter surge to pull away from the Blackhawks for a 43-39 win in Seeley Lake Saturday night.
“We overcame from early foul trouble and showed composure down the stretch,” said GHS Head Coach Dustin Keltner. “Seeley hit some big shots at key moments to keep them in it.
“Brian Ward shared the ball well for us tonight. Kai O'Donnell and Kade Cutler had some big second half points for us as well. We need to clean some things up, but it's never easy to win at Seeley. It was a good win for the kids.”
After the two teams tied 8-8 at the end of one, Granite outscored Seeley 15-10 in the second and 12-9 in the third before weathering the fourth to earn the win.
Ward finished with 18 points, while Cutler added 11 and O’Donnell nine.
Granite travels to Deer Lodge to play Powell County Tuesday.
