Granite girls cool off Hot Springs in sweep

PHILIPSBURG – The Lady Prospectors kept rolling along in district volleyball play, mining a 3-0 sweep of Hot Springs Saturday night.

The victory keeps Granite solid gold and atop the standings at 9-0 while the Savage Heat falls to 3-7.

Ramsey Smith led the attack up front, scoring 13 kills and a block. Montannah Piar added 10 kills and a pair of blocks, while Addi Lilyquist logged six kills and four blocks. Ella Tallon dished 25 assists to go with a kill and five digs. Addison Spehar and Lilyquist led on defense with eight kills apiece. Each also had a service ace as did Allison Benson.

Granite now gears up for a late-season, non-district rematch with county rival Drummond Tuesday in Philipsburg.
