Granite girls ground Eagles, 61-23
MISSOULA – The Lady Prospectors pitched a first-quarter shut out at Valley Christian on their way to a decisive 61-23 victory.
“The girls shared the ball well and played a solid game,” said GHS Head Coach Brandon Piazolla. “Everybody got some time tonight and it was a good team win.”
Granite scored 17 points in the first eight minutes to take a lead it would never relinquish, and added a 21-6 run in the second period to make clear it wasn’t going to lose.
Reece Pitcher scored a game-high 16 points with Amelia Hill (14) and Asha Comings (12) close behind.
The Lady Prospectors received a forfeit from Lincoln for tomorrow night’s game and they will not play again until they travel to Victor next Friday.
