Granite hands visiting Victor sweep

PHILIPSBURG – The Lady Prospectors struck volleyball gold again Thursday night, sweeping the Lady Pirates of Victor 25-12, 25-12, 25-16. The victory improves them to 2-0 in District 13C play, 3-0 overall.

After two dominating wins in the first two sets, Granite let off the gas a little in the third. However, it wasn’t enough to allow Victor to climb back into the match.

Montannah Piar logged a team high nine kills. Addi Lilyquist added five to go along with three blocks and a dig. Ella Tallon was dishing assists and ended with a total of 14.

Granite had its Saturday game at Lincoln postponed to October 10 due to COVID cases on the Lady Lynx squad. Their next match will now be on September 7 when they host cross county rival Drummond in what will be a pair of undefeated District 13C teams.
