Granite closes district schedule with split against Victor
PHILIPSBURG – The Lady Prospectors ended their 2022 schedule on a high note while the Boys continued to struggle in a close loss.
Girls Varsity
Granite 48, Victor 14
Tied after one period, the Lady Prospectors hit the gas and sped away with a 34-point win and second place in the final district standings. Regardless of how Lincoln fares in its final two games, the Lynx will face Granite in the opening game of the District 13 Tournament next week.
The Lady Prospectors dominated play from the second period on, including blanking the visiting Lady Pirates in the final quarter.
Asha Comings continued to score well, leading the locals with 11 points. Ramsey Smith and Reece Pitcher were close behind with eight points apiece.

The Prospectors rallied to trail by three at halftime, but a 22-3 run in the third by the Pirates cemented the win for the visitors.
Granite finishes in sixth place in the district standings and will face Seeley Swan in the tournament opener next week in Frenchtown.
Hayden Mason led the Prospectors in scoring with 21.
