Lady Prospectors beat Lincoln, finish second in D13 play

PHILIPSBURG – Granite started fast and never let up as they easily cruised to a 59-12 win over Lincoln. The victory leaves the Lady Prospectors at 10-2 and in second place in the District 13 standings.

Granite opened the game and took early command, outscoring the visiting Lynx 21-3 in the opening period. The locals would go on to hold Lincoln to three points in each of the successive periods while easily running up their margin of victory.

Asha Comings led the way with 19 points, one ahead of teammate Rachel Ward with 18. Reece Pitcher also found her way into double figures with 11.

The Lady Prospectors will see the Lynx again Tuesday in the first round of the District 13 playoffs when they host them in Philipsburg.
