Lady Prospectors blast Darby, 80-30

DARBY – The Granite Lady Prospectors started from the opening tip off and never looked back on their way to an 80-30 blowout of the Tigers in Darby.

Granite took a 16-point lead after the first stanza and extended it to 42-14 at halftime.

The Lady Prospectors had three 20-point scorers in the victory, led by junior Reece Pitcher with 22. She was followed closely by Asha Comings with 21 and Rachel Ward with 20.

Granite now turns its attention to this Friday’s game against the Lady Trojans in Drummond. A Lady Prospector win would essentially clinch at least a second place finish for Granite and keep the possibility of a first-place tie with Seeley Swan alive. The county rivalry game is set for Thursday at Drummond High School with JV games at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity at 7.
