Lady Prospectors close D13C schedule with blowout at Noxon

NOXON – The Lady Prospectors exorcised the Lady Red Devils Friday night in their district finale, 65-18.

The win leaves them at 7-4 and now they must wait and watch to see what Drummond and Hot Springs do to learn their postseason fate.

Granite took a 20-point lead after one quarter and never looked back. Montannah Pair led the Lady Prospectors with 34 points, 14 of which came in that opening stanza. Teammate and fellow senior Ramsey Smith scored 18.

Hot Springs, Drummond, and Granite are all tied with seven wins, with the first two still having district games to played Saturday. But due to head-to-head competition, where Granite lost to both the Lady Trojans and the Lady Savage Heat, Granite will enter the postseason through a play-in game Wednesday, February 19 as the No. 6 seed. They will play either Valley Christian or Noxon at 10:45 a.m. in the Frenchtown Middle School Gymnasium.
