Lady Prospectors end tennis season in Divisional Tournament

MISSOULA – The Granite Womens Tennis Team finished its 2021 season Saturday with play at the B/C Divisional Tournament at Fort Missoula.

In Singles play Sadie Lilyquist had the most success, reaching the semifinals of the Consolation Bracket before bowing our. Lilyquist won her tournament opener over Kiera Skocilich of Anaconda before falling to number one seeded Evelyn Deschans of Loyola in the quarterfinals. That dropped her into the Consolation Bracket where she posted two more wins before collecting her final defeat.

Lavinia Tenesch and Molly Ballweber also played singles for the Lady Prospectors. They each lost their opener and played each other in the Consolation Bracket where Tenesch bested Ballweber before falling to Miriam Law of Anaconda.

Granite’s double team of Willow Phahl and Mia Sowders went 0-2 on the day, dropping their opening match to a tandem from Loyola and falling to an Anaconda squad in the Consolation Bracket.
