Lady Prospectors make it two straight in 2025
PHILIPSBURG – The Granite Lady Prospectors strung together their second straight victory of the new year Saturday, beating visiting St. Regis 59-34.
Guard Ramsey Smith lit it up often and early for Granite scoring 18 of her game-high 20 points in the first half. When he cooled off, teammate Montannah Piar picked up the slack, scoring 14 points in the third.
“Our whole team came out ready to set the pace and we did just that,” said GHS Head Coach Cash Laslovich. “I am really proud of how hard these girls have been working and the habits we are beginning to form early in the season.”
The Lady Prospectors had all but one player on the roster get into the scorebook, with Addi Lilyquist leading the way with nine.
Granite will hit the road Tuesday to play a Class B opponent in the Lady Copperheads at Anaconda.

The Tiger cagers got out of the blocks quickly, establishing a first-quarter lead they’d never relinquish.
“We played hard tonight,” observed first-year GHS Head Coach Paul Kulaski. “I am happy with how the defense played. St Regis is a good ball team, and our defense played well. We need to get our offense going. Clean it up, make our shots, and stop throwing the ball away.”
Jake Dauenhauer led the locals in scoring with 12 points while Eric Pitcher added nine.
