Lady Prospectors post upset win at Ennis

ENNIS – The Granite volleyball team posted a huge win over Ennis Saturday, beating the league-leading Mustangs in four sets, 13-25, 25-14, 25-18m 29-27.

After getting off to a slow start, the Lady Prospectors rallied to take game two in commanding fashion. Ennis fought back in games three and four, but Granite was up to the challenge and collected the win.

Audrey Radtke led the locals in kills with nine as the major recipient from Haddie Tallon’s 16 assists. Tallon also led in defensive digs with 12. Asha Comings led Granite with six service aces and Amelia Hill had one block.

After having a week off the Lady Prospectors will be back in action Tuesday when they face Drummond for the second time this year. Games begin with JV play at 5:30 p.m. in Philipsburg.
