Lady Prospectors suffer first loss at Seeley Lake

SEELEY LAKE – In a physical game between two of the district’s top teams, the Seeley Swan Blackhawks emerged with a 62-49 victory over the Granite Lady Prospectors.

Granite and Seeley played a tight first quarter before the host Blackhawks started to pull away with an 18-13 surge in the second to hold a 28-21 halftime lead. Seeley secured the win with a 21-13 run in the fourth.

Reece Pitcher led Granite with 15 while Asha Comings added 13 and Rachel Ward 10.

The Lady Prospectors may have their game Tuesday in Anaconda up in the air as members of the Lady Copperheads may be dealing with a Covid-19 diagnosis. Regardless, after that Granite will face Valley Christian on the road Friday.
