Lady Trojans advance in Consolation Bracket (Updated)

PABLO – The Drummond Lady Trojans rolled past Seeley Swan 3-0 Friday afternoon, sending themselves into the Consolation Finals against Charlo at 6 p.m.

The win clinches at least a third-place finish for the locals as they head into the Western Division Tournament next week at Manhattan Christian.

If Drummond can beat Charlo, it would set up a rematch against Granite for the tournament championship. The Lady Prospectors have beaten the Lady Trojans in all four meetings this year.

Drummond seemed to find its groove early in the Seeley match, slowly working out to leads before putting the Lady Blackhawks away for the sweep.

In an epic five set match, the Lady Trojans rallied from an 11-4 deficit in set five to win it 15-12 and advance to the Tournament Championship against Granite. That game is set to start at approximately 9:25 p.m..
