Lady Trojans beat Lincoln in three

LINCOLN – The Drummond Lady Trojans made short work of the Lynx Tuesday, beating the host team 25-12, 25-7, 25-20. Drummond now moves to 9-0 in District 13C play and alone in first place.

Juniors Lexi Nelson and Delaney Wagner led the attack at the net, collecting seven and six kills, respectively. Nelson also had the team’s only block.

Senior Jesse Struna dished 21 assists while classmate Paytn Rasor had nine digs. Liz Perry was tops in service aces with three while Holly Hauptman and Struna each added two.

The Lady Trojans will be on the road Thursday, facing the Lady Prospectors in Philipsburg. The last time these two played in Drummond, the Lady Trojans escaped with a 3-2 victory.
