Lady Trojans claim third at Spike It! Tournament

ARLEE – The Drummond Lady Trojans logged a wealth of experience Saturday at the Spike it! Tournament in Arlee, playing five different opponents and claiming third place overall.

Pool play saw Drummond beat Hot Springs in straight sets and split with host Arlee before falling to St. Regis. That effort put them into the tournament’s playoff bracket where they defeated Valley Christian in the opener and fell to Seeley Swan in the semifinals. The Lady Trojans claimed the consolation bracket title ending the event the event the same way they started it with a straight set win over the Savage Heat.

Drummond will take the week of Homecoming off to enjoy the festivities and prepare them for a visit from the Blackhawks of Seeley Swan Sept. 25th. JV play will start at 4 p.m. followed by the varsity at 5:30.
