Lady Trojans clinch D13C title with win at Victor
VICTOR – For the second straight season the Drummond Lady Trojans have locked down first place in District 13C Volleyball and will enter the postseason with a first-round bye. They accomplished the feat with a 3-0 sweep of the Lady Pirates in Victory Thursday night.
After earning wins in the opening two sets, Drummond was challenged slightly by Victor in the third. But the Lady Trojans held on for the victory.
Delaney Wagner was the top hitter with seven kills in the match, with Remington Cline adding five. Lexi Nelson had a team-best 14 assists, also adding a block, five aces and five digs. Wagner was tops in aces with six.
Drummond will close out district play Saturday when they host Lincoln.
