Lady Trojans down Mountain Cats on the road, 50-32
SUPERIOR – The Lady Trojans of Drummond High School are experiencing a great season so far, notching their tenth win Saturday night on the road against Clark Fork, 50-32.
The Mountain Cats started fast, but Drummond was faster outscoring their hosts by an 18-11 margin in the first stanza. The Lady Trojans kept up the pressure for the remainder of the game, including a 12-5 fourth quarter push that secured the victory.
“The girls played great tonight,” said DHS Head Coach Nate Bignell of his Lady Trojans. We got a lot of looks that we haven’t seen yet which was great. I really liked playing that team (Clark Fork).”
Juniors Sydney Phillips and Hannah Bradshaw continued their solid play on offense, with Phillips scoring 16 and Bradshaw 10. Freshman Holly Hauptman also added eight in the effort.
Drummond has two road games this week, starting with a long road trip to Twin Bridges Friday, Jan. 31. The second game will be their shortest road venture of the season as they travel to Philipsburg to play county rival Granite High School.
