Lady Trojans get swept at Manhattan Christian
MANHATTAN – Drummond tried to take down the two-time defending state champs Manhattan Christian for the second time in as many weeks Thursday, falling 3-0.
”We struggled to find rhythm and keep pace after the first set,” observed DHS Head Coach Sam Larson. “Many small things made for large point losses. Our next few weeks of practice will be focused on creating stability and consistency throughout the game.”
While the Lady Trojans were able to play with the Lady Eagles, they were never able to beat them to the finish line in any of the three sets.
Delaney Wagner led Drummond with six kills with Kimber Parsons adding a two blocks and two aces. Bailey Parke also had a pair of aces and tied Anna Kate Sawfer on defense with 10 digs each. Lexi Nelson had a team high six assists.
Drummond takes a day off before heading to Sheridan to play in their annual tournament.
