Lady Trojans go 5-1 in Sheridan round robin event
SHERIDAN – The Drummond Lady Trojans continue to impress during the 2022 volleyball season, winning all but one set at the Sheridan Tournament Saturday.
Thyey split their opener with West Yellowstone (11-15, 15-8), then went on to dominate both Shield’s Valley (15-8, 15-10) and Lone Peak (15-7, 17-15).
“We had a slow start, but redeemed ourselves in our second and third games!” said DHS Head Coach Paige Fickler after the day’s matches. “Our play at the net was strong, and we served more consistent. I’m happy with how the girls played today!”
Holly Hauptman led the attack at the net with a collective 18 kills over the six-set run, while Jesse Struna was handing out 24 assists. Delaney Wagner had five aces and Lexi Nelson had five kills and a pair of blocks.
Drummond will take the next five days to prepare to host Darby Thursday. Games start with the junior varsity at 5:30 p.m.
