Lady Trojans, Prospector Men advance to consolation title games

FRENCHTOWN - The Drummond Girls held serve while Granite Boys stepped up to claim a big tournament win.
Girls Varsity
Drummond 43, Valley Christian 28
The Lady Trojans got of the gate fast and finished strong as they held off a charging Valley Christian in the semifinals of the consolation bracket.
Drummond's early lead was highlighted by tough defensive play that got them out to a 14-5 first-quarter lead. The margin would increase and eventually return to 10 late in the game, but Drummond clamped down for the win.
Should Victor win, they can challenge either losing team in the Granite-Seeley finale as they have yet to play either squad.
If Drummond claims the consolation crown, they would need the Lady Prospectors to defeat the Lady Blackhawks to force a play-in game Monday.
