Lady Trojans rally falls just shy against Powell County
DEER LODGE – Drummond started slow before warming up to push the Wardens to their limit in Deer Lodge Tuesday night, losing a five-set match 17-25, 22-25, 27-25, 25-15, 12-15.
Hannah Bradshaw led the effort with a well-rounded game. She had a team-best 10 kills at the net and contributed 13 digs on defense. Deana Parke and Gracie Weaver led in assists with five and four, respectively, while the latter also tied Bradshaw in digs with 13. Sydney Phillips had all five blocks for Drummond along with eight kills. Holly Hauptman was tops in digs with 15 and Jesse Struna had 21 of the Lady Trojans 22 assists.
Drummond will try to get back on the winning side of the ledger Thursday when they host Valley Christian. Games start with junior varsity action at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7.
