Lady Trojans sweep Victor, stay unbeaten in district play
VICTOR – Drummond wasted little time Thursday in dispatching the Lady Pirates in Victor, earning a 3-0 victory and a 5-0 mark in District 13C play.
With just Darby left on their first-round dance card, the Lady Trojans sit atop the standings and in full command of their playoff destiny. The two teams immediately below them are Seeley Swan and Valley Christian, both of who must come to Drummond in the second round.
Jesse Struna distributed her 25 assists around the court with junior Delaney Wagner earning a team-best nine kills on the day. Liz Perry was close behind with seven. Paytn Rasor was tops in digs with eight while Lexi Nelson led in service aces with five. Nelson, Struna and Holly Hauptman each had one block.
Drummond will host the Darby Lady Tigers Thursday, September 22.

“The girls played really well tonight,” said DHS JV Head Coach Sabrina Shows. “After the hiccup against Granite and being off a JV game on Tuesday they came back really strong. I couldn't be more proud of the growth this team has made so far this season and I'm eager to see where they are by the end of the season!”
Six of the eight rostered players logged a kill, with Remington Cline atop the heap with five. She also tied Hazel Sawford in aces with four each. Kimber Parsons dished six assists.
