Mustangs run past Lady Trojans

DRUMMOND – The Lady Trojans hit a bump in the road Tuesday night, falling to the visiting Mustangs from Ennis, 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

“We need to work on talking more,” said Drummond Head Coach Brooks Phillips. “And we need to work on moving and transitioning. But it’s been hard since we’ve had such a busy week.”

Drummond faced Sheridan last Thursday and played in the Manhattan Christian Tournament Saturday ahead of Tuesday match with Ennis. They’ll get one day off before playing Harrison-Willow Creek Thursday on the road and returning home Saturday against Lima.

In each of the first two games the Lady Trojans got off to fast starts, leading Ennis to the seven point mark. But in both cases the Mustangs fought back to tie the game and eventually the lead.
