Obituary: Dominic Dalton Krüger
Dominic Dalton Krüger was born April 28, 2007 in Springs, South Africa to Gideon and Lana Krüger. Dominic left this world on January 21, 2021.
Dominic loved to take long car trips. He could ride in the car all day and be so happy. He absolutely loved water as well, and it was so calming to him. His favorite food was curry and rice. Dominic loved to spend time with his sister Breezi watching movies, and he loved action movies. As it is for many boys, things that dropped or crashed or blew up made him laugh. Dominic liked to drop toys and make them crash, repeating it over and over. He also liked to play tug-of-war with his dog Brody.
Dominic’s favorite place was school. He couldn’t wait to go every day. He always rode the stationary bike, pedaling happily along, and watered the plants daily in the greenhouse, where he grew lettuce.
Dominic was known for his love, happiness, and laughter. He inspired many people and touched many hearts with his loving personality.
He leaves behind his parents, Lana and Gideon, sister Breezi, and brother Brantley; sister Jasmyn Horn, grandparents Daan and Ting Krüger, Alan Robbins, and Jane and Jerry Neely.
We, Dominic’s family thank Mrs. Christina B, the Superintendent of the Drummond Schools. The love and support she gave the family both before and after the accident is amazing. She was and is a true light in our lives, and we are forever grateful for how she looked out and cared for Dominic. He loved her very much. We also thank Dominic’s one-on-one Elizabeth, who was like a second mom to him and cared for him daily. He was always glad to see her, and we thank her for providing loving care for him at all times.
Thank you to everyone who cared for Dominic and showed him love and kindness. It means so much to us that he was loved by many. We thank the community of the Flint Creek valley for coming together for us in this difficult time. We cannot thank you enough for the support and love you gave us.
For the first responders who worked so hard for us, we are grateful. We also thank the Hall and Drummond United Methodist churches and the Monday School leaders for their care and support.
Dominic’s memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30th, at 4 p.m. at the Drummond school greenhouse. Memorials may be made to the Domnic Krüger Fund in lieu of flowers.
