Obituary: Heath Poser
DRUMMOND - Heath William Poser, age 54, died of Glioblastoma brain cancer on September 14, 2022, after a long, hard and strong battle he went home to be with is lord and savior.
Heath was born on March 18, 1968, in Conrad, Montana to Bill and Bonnie Poser. He graduated from Conrad Highschool and then attended and graduated from MSU Bozeman with a degree in Education. He taught math and science for many years at Granite High School in Philipsburg, Montana. He influenced many students both as learners and individuals. Heath also had a passion for coaching and encouraged kids both on and off the court. After stepping out of the classroom, he drove truck for many years on the west side of Montana. Heath loved his family, spending time in the mountains doing adventurous things like snowmobiling, skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and building the BIGGEST bonfires possible. Heath was always willing to help people in need and had a generous heart toward the “down and outers” of life. He had a great sense of humor and always looked for ways to make people laugh and have a good time. His family and friends will always remember him as a person who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Heath is survived by his wife and kids, Melissa, Austin, Kai, and Eisley of Drummond; his son, Dayton Poser (Kendra, Grandkids - Emma, Makai, Ava), of Culbertson, MT. ; his daughter, Devyn Ottman (Cody, Grandkids -Keenan, Huxley and Brooxzyn), of Boulder; his parents, Bill, and Bonnie Poser, of Conrad; his sister, Jackie Robbins (Alan), of Billings, his brother Stephen Massey (WA), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and his beloved dogs, Nitro, Slate, Storm and Miko. He is preceded in death by his son, Ridge Poser (5 months), of Drummond; his grandparents, Harold, and Bernice Poser, of Dutton, and Bill and Dorothy Neuman, of Power, MT.
A funeral is scheduled for October 1, 2022, at Drummond Community Church at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow. Pastor Ryan Webster will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Heath’s life. The family would like to thank Peace Hospice for their amazing care, compassion, and love for Heath and his family over the past four months.
