Parke wins 5,000 meters at Butte Central Invitational

BUTTE – Junior Scott Parke outdistanced the entire 45-man field Tuesday at the Butte Central Invitational. The event was held the Fairmont Hot Springs Golf Course.

Parke, who has steadily improved each season, blew the field off the course with a time of 18:10.7, a full 20 seconds ahead of second-place finisher senior Charlie Serafin of Park at 19:30.7.
Also running in the event for the Trojans was Jonathan Pfendler who claimed 25th in 21:58.6.
The host’s top finisher was Jim Bradshaw in 17th in a time of 20:59.7.
The Trojans run next at the Mission Invitational Tuesday in St. Ignatius followed by the Mountain West Classic, held on the University of Montana Golf Course in Missoula Saturday.
