Playoff brackets set for area volleyball, football teams
GRANITE COUNTY – Hunting season opened over the weekend, and folks will be looking for more than just deer and elk in the comings days.
8-Man Football
The two-time defending state champion Flint Creek Titans enter this year’s postseason bracket as the No. 4 team out of the Western Conference, having finished with a 6-3 overall record. Unlike the past two years where home games were plentiful in the playoffs, the Titans will be on the road for as long as they play in 2019.
West Yellowstone will be their opponent in the opener. The Wolverines were 9-0 on the year and 6-0 in the Southern Conference. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at West Yellowstone High School.
Volleyball
The Granite Lady Prospectors earned the No. 1 seed in the District 12C bracket and a first-round bye. They will face the winner of the (4)Twin Bridges vs (5) Harrison-Willow Creek match in the Winner’s Bracket semifinals.
Drummond claimed the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Sheridan.. The winner will play the survivor of the (2) Ennis vs . (7) Lima match.
The event starts Thursday and is being played in Twin Bridges.
