Prospectors survive Lincoln scare, advance to Consolation semifinals.

FRENCHTOWN - The Granite Prospectors started slow and finished strong earn 58-44 win over Lincoln in the Consolation Bracket of the District 13C Tournament Friday.
The win advances them to Saturday's semifinal against the loser of the Drummond-Victor game later Friday.
The Lynx were on fire in the first quarter, taking advantage of every Granite turnover while shooting out the lights from the floor and free throw line to lead 23-10.
The Prospectors collected themselves under Head Coach Mindy Avila, using a 24-8 run in the second to lead 34-31 at intermission. Granite first lead came with just 26 seconds left in the second quarter when freshman Eric Pitcher hit a three pointer to make it 31-30. Lincoln hit a free-throw to tie the score, but Pitcher drained another trey as time expired for the three-point margin.
Pitcher finished with six points.
Senior Hayden Mason led the way with a game-high 26 points while junior Andrew Tallon added 16.
