RDP: Lady Trojans improve to 4-0 with win over Wardens
DEER LODGE – It was a long day of basketball Friday in Deer Lodge, with Powell County hosting Drummond for five basketball games that started with a Boys ‘C’ contest and ending the varsity guys around 10 p.m. The guys and gals in blue claimed four victories, highlighted by comeback win in the varsity girls game.
Girls Basketball
Drummond 36, Powell County 34
The Lady Trojans were down 23-15 after three periods but used a 20-11 rally in the fourth to claim the two-point win and remain unbeaten on the year at 4-0.
Holly Hauptman led the scoring for Drummond with 13 points, all of which came after halftime. She scored half the team’s points in the final stanza.
The Lady Trojans and their male counterparts will host Lincoln Saturday in Drummond with games starting at 4:30. Those contests will be broadcast on the NFHS Network.

The Wardens locked up the game early against the Trojans, despite the visitors posting a 21-11 fourth quarter run in attempting the comeback.
Colt Parsons led Drummond with 23 points including a three-pointer and going 8-for-10 from the charity stripe. Caleb Parke added 14 and Trey Phillips had 10.
Powell County’s Logan Nicholson led all scorers on the day with 43 points, going 4-for-7 from three-point range and 11-for-16 at the free throw line.
