Trojan Boys advance district tournament championship

FRENCHTOWN - It was a game that looked a lot easier than it really was. But the Drummond Trojans prevailed over the Victor Pirates 42-21 Friday to advance to the District 13C Championship game. Victor never seemed to quite find its footing or shooting rhythm, due most to a tough Trojan defense and the rebounding of Sam Bryant and Ben Bradshaw. The teams exchanged early three pointers, but eventually Drummond edged out to a 13-8 lead by period's end. The Trojans them ramped it up in the second, outscoring the Pirates 12-2 to take a lead they would never relinquish. Colt Parsons led Drummond with 10 points, while Caleb Parke added nine and Cooper Bradshaw eight.
