Trojan Boys sink Viking horde; Lady Trojans fall by four

CHARLO – It was a tough loss for the Lady Trojan basketball team, but a big win for their male counterparts.

Boys Varsity

Drummond 65, Charlo 47

The Trojans played a stifling defense in the opening period, creating a 13-1 lead after eight minutes. The offensive flood gates flew open for both clubs in the second, scoring a combined 51 points to lead Drummond with a 40-25 lead at halftime.

The Vikings rallied in the third quarter, but were unable to complete the comeback when the Trojans outscored them 14-7 in the final stanza.

Michael James led the locals in scoring with 23 points, with Kadin Graveley adding 15.

Karson Cox led all scorers in the game with 28 for Charlo.

Drummond will host Powell County Tuesday.

In a nip & tuck game that was in question until the final buzzer, Drummond ran out of time against Charlo.

Casey James and Charlee Cline led the Lady Trojans with seven points each, while Kimber Parsons was close behind with six.

Seeley McDonald led the Lady Vikings with 10 points.
