Trojan teams best Lincoln ahead of season-ending showdown with Darby

LINCOLN – The Drummond basketball teams easily swept their Lincoln counterparts Friday night in a pair of blowout wins. For the boys squad, it setup a showdown with distinct playoff implications.
Boys Varsity
Drummond 66, Lincoln 11
The Trojans’ 55-point victory advances them to 10-1 on the year and in a dead heat with Darby atop the District 13C standings. The Tigers only loss came at the hands of Drummond earlier in the season, while the Trojans fell to Seeley in their second meeting.
The two teams will battle for a final first-place finish in the district Saturday, with the winner getting a first-round bye and the loser drawing the No. 7 Lincoln Lynx in the first round Thursday.
In Friday’s game, Drummond had all 10 players get into the scorebook led by senior Chase Goldade with 13. Cooper Bradshaw and Brody Rasor were the next closest with eight apiece.
The Trojans forced 75 turnovers while committing just 23.

The Lady Trojans jumped on the Lady Lynx early and stayed ahead for all 32 minutes as they claimed the victory and further secured their third-place standing in District 13C play.
Kimber Parsons led Drummond in scoring with 13 points, while Holly Hauptman added 10.
