Trojans hoopsters sweep Bears in Lima
LIMA – The Drummond Boys picked up their second win in three games while the Lady Trojans ran their win streak to eight straight Thursday night against the Bears.
Trojan Boys
Drummond 54, Lima 42
Drummond edged the host Bears in the first period, but put the pedal to the metal in the second stanza as they outscored them 23-15. That run was powered by senior Wyatt Rigby’s 11 points and gave the locals a 35-25 lead at halftime that they would never relinquish.
Rigby finished with 17 points and was the only double-figure scorer for the Trojans.
Good news for Drummond came in the return of senior Conley Wagner who scored four points in his first game of the season. Wagner suffered a foot injury in August during the Flint Creek Titans’ season opening game against Clark Fork.
Drummond will travel to Ennis to take on the Mustangs Friday night.
