Trojans march back into Divisional with challenge game blowout
ALBERTON – The Drummond Trojans worked their way back into postseason with a decisive 64-32 win over Hot Springs Monday night.
The game was a Consolation Bracket Winner Challenge Game between districts 13 (Trojans) and 14 (Savage Heat).
Drummond wasted no time in establishing a lead, going ahead 15-6 after just one period. They doubled down with a 20-8 second that put the game out of reach by halftime, 35-14.
“The played a very disciplined game tonight,” said DHS Head Coach Levi Parsons after the win. “They played great defense, executed on offense, and almost doubled hot springs in rebounds. Great team effort all around tonight!”
The second proved to be an exercise in maintenance, with the Trojans out-pacing the Savage Heat while rotating in its entire entourage of players.
Senior Brody Rasor led all scorers with 21 for Drummond, while junior Michael James dropped in 14. Each hit a pair of three pointers and combined for seven assists. Senior post player Trey Philips added 11 points and four blocked shots. Senior Scott Parke had seven points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Division Tournament – What’s Next?
The Trojans now turn their eyes toward their first match up Thursday in the Western Division Tournament where they will play the 12C’s No. 1 seed Manhattan Christian at 2 p.m.
In the girls Consolation Challenge Game, Lincoln defeated St. Regis 43-37. The Lady Lynx will play 12C champion Twin Bridges at 11 a.m. Thursday
Granite County’s other divisional entrant, the 13C’s second place Granite Lady Prospectors, will take on Charlo in the tournament opener at 9 a.m. Thursday.
