Trojans split games with Superior at Tip-Off Tournament
HAMILTON – Four points decided the fate of the Drummond basketball teams Friday, with the girls beating the Lady Bobcats by two while the boys fell by three.
Girls Varsity
Drummond 25, Superior 23
The Lady Trojans couldn’t manage to score a basket in the opening eight minutes, but rallied with a strong second half to win their opener for the ’24-’25 season.
Superior held a 17-11 lead at halftime before Drummond got its collective game in gear on both ends of the floor. The Lady Trojans outscored the Lady Bobcats 14-6 over the final two periods to secure victory with the fourth-quarter comeback.
Kimber Parsons led Drummond with 10 points with Charlee Cline close behind at nine. Casey James had five and Sawyer Hesler one to round out the scoring.
Josie Crabb led Superior with seven points.

The Trojans played a solid first half, but faltered in the third when the Bobcats went on a 17-10 run that turned the tide and put them in the lead for good. Drummond would rally in the fourth, but several players fouling out and a bench technical helped Superior hold on for the win.
Michael James started the year strong with 23 points for the Trojans, including four three-point baskets. Fellow senior Logan Hauptman was the next highest scorer with seven.
Landon Richards led the Bobcats with 19 points while teammate Gannon Quinlan had 16.
