Winter Storm Warning issued for Granite County, surrounding areas
GRANITE COUNTY – The National Weather Service is predicting potentially record low temperatures for weekend weather system.
As much as 17 inches of snow are being forecast for the Drummond area with wind chills reaching -5 degrees. Surrounding areas from Helmville to Georgetown Lake are expecting slightly less snow, but wind chills may drop to as low as -15.
The Winter Storm Warning issued by the NWS begins at 3 p.m. Friday through Saturday evening, when the bulk of the snowfall should be taking place.

While temperatures will rise starting Sunday, highs will remain around 30 degree through Tuesday. Lows will be sub zero both Saturday and Sunday night and getting into the teens Monday evening.
